Paula Scher Honored at Pratt Legends Gala

Pentagram’s Paula Scher will be recognized for her extraordinary career at this year’s Pratt Institute Legends Awards, the annual scholarship benefit celebrating distinguished individuals and companies in the world of art and design whose works have helped shape the cultural landscape. The event helps raise funds to provide financial aid to Pratt students and will be presented on October 3 in Brooklyn.

Scher will be honored alongside architect Santiago Calatrava and Miguel McKelvey, co-founder and chief creative officer of WeWork. Previous Pratt Legends recipients include Laurie Anderson, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Marc Jacobs, Ellsworth Kelly, Takashi Murakami, David Rockwell, Julian Schnabel, Patti Smith, Julie Taymor, James Turrell, and Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, among many others.
